Consumer Reports’ Chief Scientific Officer James Dickerson stated battery-powered tools are superior to those running on gas engines. Dickerson explained the tools that utilize lithium-ion batteries can be recharged, emit “a fraction of the harmful emissions produced by running gas tools,” and are better for the environment.
